He Will Give You Directions

Here is a good promise for us today. Along with Pro 3:5&6 and Jer 29:11 (and many others). We can have a confidence that God has a plan, a path and is ready to lead us if we will just pay attention and trust Him.

  Are there those who respect the

Lord

       He will point them to the best way.
  They will enjoy a good life,
       and their children will inherit the land.
  The Lord

 tells his secrets to those who respect him;
       he tells them about his agreement.
  My eyes are always looking to the Lord for help.
       He will keep me from any traps. Psa 25:12-15 ncv
May we reaffirm our commitment to trust Him. To listen to Him and receive and follow His directions.

IT'S ALL GOOD!!

Success To Significance

It is said that "Success is where opportunity meets preparation". I believe that as a local church we are on the verge of opportunity and it is a time to be prepared. We are so blessed to be a part of God's "Plan A" (and there is no plan "B").

This verse in Pro 24:6 is one of so many that gives us the knowledge we need to live in wisdom. Wisdom is applied knowledge, may we gain the understanding we need today to make the wise choices, so that we may do our part to advance His kingdom. Success is good, but Significance is great.

"Strategic planning is the key to warfare;
   to win, you need a lot of good counsel." Pro 24:6 msg

May we hear His voice clearly, obey instantly and position ourselves to be a blessing to our community, nation and world.

Thinking is a good thing

It’s great to read, and be challenged to change. From Mark Batterson’s “Primal”, great thoughts and life changing ideas. Thinking is a good thing; not thinking is what often gets us into trouble as in “What was I thinking?”

JC Penney made a “Pre-Decision” or what I call a “Value Decision”. He started giving 10% and living on 90% and ended by giving 90% and living on 10%.

 Thoughts like “The Mall Effect” – The focus is on everything you don’t have that produces feelings of want. The antidote is a trip to a third world nation its called “The Missions Effect”.

The bottom line is this: your focus determines your reality. If you focus on your wants, enough will never be enough. If you focus on the needs of others, you’ll discover you have more than enough.

Something To Think About

Staying Young

God’s love is so amazing! Spent the last two days “staying young”. First by “hanging” with Matt and Sam, then by attending a ministers conference with emphasis on vision. Remember you’re not old until your regrets overtake your vision. May I never “grow old”! God has and is so good to me. My love has returned from Charlotte and Is full of life after caring for our granddaughters and ministering at our son’s church. Linda gets the VBI assignment today as I prepare for membership class tonight and teaching on Sunday (soon to be Saturday as well). How awesome is serving God? What a blessing, what a privilege.

His Love

REFLECTION

I thought by eyes were going dim, but it was my notebook screen needing cleaning. I have such a love and appreciation for God. What an honor and a privilege to be sitting here getting ready to prepare a teaching on Love. Love, “the definition of God”. The essence of the “Good News” – God Loves Us! Isn’t that amazing! The creator of the universe loves me. I am so humbled at this moment. To even begin (and I try to stop quickly) to think of where I would be without Him, leading and directing my life. Thank You God!!
