The Way of Escape

GOD ALWAYS MAKES A WAY OF ESCAPE.

Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there! Psa 27:19 nlt

 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Cor 10:13 nkjv

These two great scriptures should bring all of us great hope. If we have been led by him or mistakenly led by our own desires, there is always a way out of difficulty.

Today, don’t give up and sit down, but cry out to God, who has never left you alone. He will show you the way to go. He will provide a way of escape. Get up and get ready, God is ready to take you out of the difficult situation you are in, and bring you to a great place of peace, joy and provision.

Victory is always ours!

FAVOR

Reading today from my “Absolute Victory” devotional by Billy Joe Daugherty.

Favor is a promise to us as believers. Just as Joseph, Esther and so many others before us had favor, so do we.

“For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord.” (Pr 8:35). What I have always appreciated about my Pastor was the way he put things in perspective.

Life is about loving God and loving others, and as he stated regarding favor, “favor has a purpose”. God will bring us into favor so we can be a blessing to others.

I want to encourage you today to expect God’s favor. To receive it so that we can be a blessing to others. I believe with you today that His favor is upon your life and enhances the work that God is going to do through you.

Favor is yours today, receive it and use it.

Be Prepared

BE PREPARED

Isn't this the "Boy Scout Motto"?  I saw this quote from a great basketball coach that is now retired. 

"Preparation is the key to victory in any game that you play. The prepared people win a lot more than the unprepared people," he said. "You can never spend too much time on preparation. The will to prepare to win is far more important than the will to win."

It made me think about life and if we are paying attention to being prepared. Many people just exist day to day and take whatever comes there way as God's plan for their life. God plans and He has plans for us. We could use some planning time to prepare for the days ahead. I'm not forecasting gloom and doom, in fact with good preparation it can be a great time of opportunity. Remember no money left the planet when the stock market crashed, it just exchanged hands. 

Joseph did a great job of preparing and saved two nations while following God's direction. I want to encourage you to prepare for today, this week, this year. Most of all prepare for eternity. God has a plan and He wants you to be a significant part of it. 

Remember: Success is where preparation meets opportunity and Significance is where obedience meets divine appointment.

Growing Strong In Faith

The Relational Side of Faith: “Walking in victory is not achieved simply by following a formula. It is the result of walking in fellowship with your Father and Jesus. Strong faith is a product of close fellowship with the Father.” (From “Absolute Victory” by Billy Joe Daugherty).

What a great truth that is often overlooked as people endeavor to teach faith. The more time you spend with quality people, the more you learn of their quality. The more time you spend with the Father, the more you learn of His character, the more you know you can trust Him.

Faith is never blind and it doesn’t require you to leap. It’s a daily walk, step by step with the Father. Trusting Him, trusting His word. Hear His word today know His ways today. Let your faith grow strong as you fellowship with Him.
