I LOVE PREPARE DAYS

Today is a prepare day. It's a day I try to devote myself to be ready to
share something significant with our local church. It is an honor and a
privilege for sure. It is also an awesome responsibility to be the one
responsible to have something to say that will help people. Help them to be
encouraged, to grow, to change. I really try to get rid of my thoughts and
ideas and try to hear from the Holy Spirit and gain His ideas. Perhaps we
should go back to just reading God's word. Can't go wrong there. As I was
preparing this teaching on "Get Into The Game" (living not existing).

I had this thought, what if I knew I only had a few hours to live, what
would I do? Linda (my wife) is in Africa, but I'm sure I would try to reach
her one more time to tell her I love her. I would call all my children and
grandchildren and tell them the same. What then? Wow! Suddenly most
everything else pales in comparison. I want to thank people who have had a
significant impact on my life. People like JC Hunt, Billy Joe Daugherty,
Oral Roberts, Dick Munz and so many others. It's good to slow down and think
and put things in perspective.

May you and I learn the true value of the life we have been given. May we be
use our time, our talents, our gifts wisely. May we keep a right attitude, a
proper perspective and enjoy life.
REMEMBER: LIFE IS FOR LIVING!

Michael Vick Plays tonight for the Eagles. Another step in the right direction for a man
who had been living a lie. The idea that anyone is beyond doing what is
right - Is wrong! Somehow - Someway there is a "pay-day"! I hope he
continues on what appears to be a right path. I wish him well tonight, not
so much as a football player, but as a man. This is his job and I think he
will do well. I hope that his character continues to develop to the level
that his talent has taken him. He made some huge mistakes (but haven't we
all). He did some horrible things, and has paid a price for that. May we all
learn from this and may we all be merciful, you never know when you may be
the one needing the mercy.

Rest and Perspective - Take a Nap

Lately I have been having a lot of thoughts about perspective. Today I
wasn't feeling very well and it seamed that everything I did took extra
effort. I also had to work on keeping a good attitude. Later on in the day I
was able to take a brief nap. When I woke up everything had changed. I felt
better, everyone was nicer to me, any problem or issue was not difficult to
resolve. I realized that nothing had really changed at all except my
perspective. May we be able to flow in Gods grace and keep an eternal
perspective. If all else fails then by all means take a nap.

 Blessings

Faith and Love

Recently we endeavored to show our love to someone going through a difficult
time. The response was interesting, as the gesture of love was thought to be
sympathy rather than "joining our faith with them" in this time of need. I
had this thought and would like to share it with you. "The demonstration of
love is not an absence of faith". In the book of Galatians is tells us that
faith actually works by love. The motivation is always the key isn't it. We
so often times judge things by the outward, but God always evaluates by the
motive of the heart. May we have His heart today and may our actions be true
demonstrations of His love working in us and through us. Have a blessed day
of showing His Love to many.

Honor

Yesterday was our 43rd wedding anniversary. While we did some early
celebration with friends, and will do some more with family in a couple of
days, I felt as if I was not as honoring as I should have been. I have been
so blessed with such an amazing lady. I shudder to think about who I would
be and where I would be if it had not been for God's gift to me. I encourage
you today to honor those that God has brought into your life. Those that add
to you. That so wonderfully compliment you. They are gifts from God and we
need to be more honoring of them and of our God who has given them to us. I
love my wife! I love my God! They are both awesome!
