The Pursuit of Truth

The pursuit of truth will not only develop your mind, it will in fact cause you to “get out of your mind”. It will cause you to get into faith, to trust God. It will cause you to gain some understanding of his love for you and his plan for you. He loves it when you discover “new” things about him and the wonderful life He has planned for you. It’s like a treasure hunt, new discoveries, new pleasures. Discovering all that He is and all that He has planned.

John 17:17 (Amplified Bible)

Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth

Loving God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength starts with the discovery and acceptance of His greatest gift to us. The greatest treasure we could ever discover.

John 3:16-17 (The Message)

"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
